Bedrock toolsmiths also sell a bell and stone tools at Novice and offer every trade in a tier. Java toolsmiths pick two trades per tier at random, so the enchanted diamond shovel or hoe may appear instead of the axe.

Early on, Novice toolsmiths sell stone tools and buy flint, coal and iron ingots, so a cobblestone generator plus an iron farm keeps them levelling.
